How many are tired of sitting on I-77 going to and from Charlotte, especially during the peak hours of going to work and returning home?

To many residents relief, in the near future we will hopefully have a new option getting to and from Charlotte from Northern towns such as Mooresville!

It seems CATS has been investigating the option of a new commuter train for the 25 mile trek from Charlotte to Mooresville. This has been looked at in years past but Norfolk Southern would not allow their tracks to be used. It is still undetermined as how something like this will be paid for and just exactly where the tracks may be located, but it would be welcome by many of those North of Charlotte. There will be a public interest and informational meeting held on November 9th from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the Charles Mack Center in downtown Mooresville. Everyone interested in seeing this come to fruition is encouraged to attend.

More information can be found at or by calling CATS customer service 704-336-7433
